Die Mitglieder des DDV senden begeisterte Grüße an die Kolleginnen und Kollegen der Writers Guild of America West.

Über 9.000 Mitglieder der WGA haben mit knapp 98 % Ja-Stimmen für die Streikerlaubnis gestimmt und damit ihrem Team in den aktuellen Verhandlungen mit den Produzenten (AMPTP) einen mächtigen Hebel in die Hand gegeben. 

Was für eine Demonstration der Geschlossenheit und Einigkeit!

Geschlossenheit und Einigkeit - das ist auch der Geist des neuen DDV, der ebenfalls für faire Vergütungsregeln kämpft. Denn der Kampf für bessere Arbeitsbedingungen und Verträge sowie für mehr Wertschätzung eint die Autorinnen und Autoren der Welt.

Der DDV steht, auch als Mitglied der International Affiliation of Writers Guilds, Seite an Seite mit seiner amerikanischen Sister Guild.

Your German screenwriting colleagues from the DDV were thrilled to find out that close to 98% of your more than 9,000 WGA members have voted in favor of granting you the power to strike!

That’s a mighty signal giving you a very powerful leverage in your ongoing negotiations with the AMPTP!

This result proves yet once again, just how determined and unified the members of the WGA are.

A determination and unity which is mirrored by the new DDV. Especially since we too are in the middle  of crucial negotiations for fair compensation  and better working conditions for screenwriters in Germany. A mutual fight for respect, which unites all screenwriters across the world. 

We would like to assure you of our passionate solidarity with our WGA colleagues.
